About
By Staff | May 11th, 2009CitynetMagazine.com is an online magazine focussing on travel, dating, nightlife, lifestyle, society, models, humor, interviews, entertainment, and beyond.
Website History
What was to become CitynetMagazine.com began as a personal website and blog in 1997. At the time, there was no such thing as a “blog” as we know them today, making it one of the first blogs in Internet history. Early on, the term “live journal” was popular and the site had a clear live journal that was updated continually.
The original website was hosted at AOL (1997-2000), then it was BrianX.com from 2000-2010, then it became CitynetMagazine.com in 2010. As literally tens of millions of visitors, the name change was a difficult decision but here we are!
In June 2009, the website was re-launched with a major change in its appearance. This fresh new look is more suitable to today’s expectations of what a site should look like. The content of this website remains extremely popular, with hundreds of thousands of page views per month.
The site is now run by multiple people.
