Miss December 2009 is Kataxenna Kamillia Kova, a model with an incredible waistline that makes her one of the world’s top corset models. This curvy London-based hottie gave us an amazing exclusive interview. Find out about her modeling career, “enhancements”, and more! Enjoy!
How do you pronounce your name?
Kataxenna is pronounced Kata-zee-na.
How did you get that name?
Kataxenna is not that far off from my real name, I just wanted to jazz it up a little and change the spelling. Kamillia and Kova are both my real names.
Where did you grow up and where do you call home now?
I was born and raised in North London which is where I have lived most of my life. My family is a mix of Polish, Russian, Italian so I would often spend Summers abroad visiting family In Europe. I have lived abroad a few times both in the US and Spain but I find that I always end up coming back to London which is where I call home. I currently in Camden Town, North London with my cats and other half.
How did you get into modeling?
I was originally approached by an agency at the age of 15 but was far too obsessed with music and being in bands to want to model. I was also quite shy when it came to myself and the thought of posing in front of a camera filled me with dread. A couple of years later I was approached to do some glamour shots before moving into fitness modelling briefly. It was something that felt alien to me to start with but the more modelling I did the more I enjoyed and before long I realised that I could use it as an outlet for my creativity. That was when I started fetish modelling and working as my own stylist, hair and makeup artist. I loved having full creative control, doing something I loved and making a living out of it!
Favorite type of photoshoots?
I love doing latex shots in exotic locations. Contrasting locations and clashing outfits are my favourites.
Where would you love to shoot that you haven’t yet?
Disney World would be amazing with all the colours and imagery together with a colourful sexy yet fairy tale themed outfit.
What is it about modeling and corsets that excite you?
It’s the chance to be creative and get involved in the sets, styling and themes for the shoots. I love having input and being able to basically play dress up! As for corsets, I love the way they make me feel. They are such beautiful pieces of female armour and elegance. From the moment I first laid eyes on a Victorian corset I fell in love. I don’t believe there is an item of clothing that symbolises femininity more than a beautiful lace up corset.
How does it feel to wear such tight clothes during a photoshoot?
Sometimes a very tight corset can be uncomfortable after a while but if it’s for a great photograph then I believe it’s worth it. Latex can be a pain to get into at times especially the cat suits but again definitely worth it for the final picture. Latex is like second skin and one of the few materials that actually cling to my curves one hundred percent.
What do you think is your sexiest body part?
I don’t personally see myself like that so it is hard for me to answer. My boyfriend would most probably say my eyes, figure or mouth but I would probably say my mind. I used to write erotic stories in my spare time and that’s where all the ideas came from ;)
At what age did you first realize men would melt in your presence?
I’ve never really thought about it. There were guys who liked me at school but I was one of those girls who would never realise that a boy liked me until a friend would literally have to tell me. I guess I was just always blind to that kind of thing and too busy obsessing about music and going to gigs, lol.
How do you maintain your hot body?
I love exercise and love to run long distances. I not only find that it not only keeps me fit but is also therapeutic and gives me a chance to get lost in thought and have some ‘me’ time. I also have come up with a few toning exercises that I do a couple of times a week. I am a huge fan of curves so would never want to lose them or get too thin but I do believe that curves should be firm and toned.
What do you do in your downtime?
I love to exercise, play/write music, spend time with my other half and my cats, see band play. I even love to cook! Normally I would wear just a vest top and some jeans or a t shirt. If I’m lucky enough to stay at home then I’ll pretty much lounge around in my dressing gown until it’s time to go out.
When and where was the last time you went skinny dipping?
That would be when I shot in Ibiza last year ;)
Wildest place you’ve ever “closed the deal”?
I’m a fan of doing it al fresco so somewhere outdoors is probably as “crazy” as it’s ever got. I think it has something to do with the thrill of being caught. Quickies are always fun and easy to have just about anywhere and everywhere! Come to think of it the craziest place would have to be in a doctor’s office!
You “closed the deal” with the doctor?
Haha, it was with another bio-science student while I was at university. We briefly did a work placement in a medical centre and it happened there :)
Was it spontaneous?
Yes indeed! I love spontaneity. Unplanned bursts of passion are always best!
Any plastic surgery?
The only thing I have ever had done were breast implants a couple of years ago. I don’t see the point in lying about that sort of thing, I’m very open. I had already been modelling for three years around the time I got them done and went from a large C cup to a DD. Do I regret it? No way! A lot of people seem anti implants these days and claim that they look bad or feel hard etc but because I already had quite big breasts to start with, what you feel is me and not the implant. I already had a lot of breast tissue to start with so I didn’t need a large implant. They are soft and don’t feel much different to before so I definitely don’t agree with all these people claiming it’s a bad thing.
How much were the enhancements?
The breast augmentation was a little present to myself. I was modelling and studying and that’s all I did for three years. I didn’t treat myself or spend much of the money I had earnt from the first few years of my modelling career so I thought why not? My boyfriend at the time was against me going for implants and was happy with me the way I was but I had met so many other models with them and really liked what I saw, so I went for it. They cost £3000 ($5,000 US).
Would you have any other surgery?
No. Some models alter their appearance so much that they are virtually unrecognisable when you compare their early photos to their currents ones and all end up looking like clones. I don’t look that different to how I looked at 17, just older.
Do they get in the way of exercising?
Nope :) Thankfully they are only a bit bigger than they were to start with so I’m used to exercising with them. I still run, swim, dance and work out just as much as I did before I had them. I just make sure I get a good fitted sports bra to avoid too much bounce while I’m doing so, LOL.
Give us a fun fact about you.
Before I started modelling full time I used to work in women’s lingerie/sex shop while studying biology at university!
Best or worst pick-up line used on you?
Oh the usual pick up lines that make everybody cringe! The one about heaven missing any angel is always very amusing ;) The thing that attracts me the most is a guy who can hold a good conversation- someone smart, witty and intelligent.
What’s the most common question that people ask you?
Have I had ribs removed? Have I had surgery? Usually something about my waist. I have my mother’s figure and she used to have dresses specially made when she lived back in Poland as nothing would fit her correctly. I have never had any surgery on my waist and have always had an extreme waist to hip ratio which I was able to exaggerate with wearing corsets.
Name anyone, alive or dead, who you’d love to meet.
Oh there are so many: Marilyn Monroe, Freddy Mercury, Gunther Von Hagens (German anatomist I am a huge fan of), Mike Patton, Friedrich Nietzsche, etc. It would depend on whether I was in the mood to have a deep, stimulating conversation about philosophy, politics and life or a gossip about all things feminine. Right now I would love to have a tea and cakes with Lady Gaga and Pete Burns and talk about art, all things abstract and compare eccentric outfits ;)
Give a shout out to your fans…
Thank you to everybody who has supported me through my career so far and all the amazing messages I get. I never take anything for granted and am grateful for all the kind words and support!
Favorite upcoming projects?
I have lots coming up next year including another film, several magazine shoots, a large number of projects in Europe and a nice long stay in the US where I will be shooting and putting time aside to focus on music.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years time, I see myself still modelling as it’s something I enjoy doing so much and I believe if you look after yourself especially your shape and stay healthy you can stay in this industry for a long time. I would maybe like to have completed my Masters degree by then and be working on music and dedicate some time to being in a band.
