The Law of Attraction is one of the most popular subjects in the realm of individual empowerment today and it’s easy to understand why. The success of the book and of the movie The Secret has popularized the idea that what you think about you attract, and claims of absolute power aren’t easily ignored – especially when presented in such a trendy and eye-catching way.
As with any type of self-help program or philosophy there are the protestors who are vehemently against it, the advocates who swear by it, and the middle-of-the-roaders who may or may not be swayed depending on the direction of the wind of popular opinion. Some hold steadfast to their conviction despite lack of evidence in their own lives and others laugh at the absurdity that anything outside of their current belief system could possible have any merit. A familiar dance we see performed regularly in many fields.

Yet one thing is certain. Of the true believers (or wishful thinkers depending on which side of the fence you’re camped out on) there are few that have any success that would be considered significant by an outside observer. Oh sure, you’ll get the occasional stories of those who have received a bit of money unexpectedly, or who apparently found their soulmate synchronistically, or who have “miraculously” recovered rapidly from some illness but these results are by and large specious and unsatisfying – even to their proponents.
For those of you who want to believe in the Law of Attraction but don’t see how it could be true, and for those who have been practicing it without much success you’re in luck. Over the next few days we will be covering the top five of the most frequent reasons the Law of Attraction hasn’t been working for you. If you can understand them, just understand them mind you, you will see an immediate change in what you attract and how quickly what you want shows itself.
1. You’re Not Paying Attention to Your Emotions as Much as You Think You Are
It is very common for practitioners of the Law of Attraction to believe that they are directing their thoughts more often and more diligently than they think they are. The repeated refrain “I feel pretty positive but I’m still not manifesting [insert desire here].” Has been sung time and time again at Law of Attraction seminars and discussion groups.
Here’s the rub – if you believe that what you think and feel matches what you manifest, and you are manifesting unwanted or the lack of wanted experiences, then you must be more often than not thinking thoughts contrary to what you say you are wanting. Otherwise you’re an exception to Law of Attraction. Either that or the Law isn’t true in which case you might as well move on to the next scam.
The good news is that if you are indeed focusing negatively then the Law will bring you bigger and bigger manifestations to show you just how you’re vibrating. So eventually you’ll have an experience that’ll show you clearly where you’re at and you’ll have the opportunity to clean up your thought patterns. Unwanted manifestations are a gift as they perfectly reflect how you’ve been vibrating.
