With the release of eclectic soul-rock artist Evan Taylor Jones’ EP “The Sunray Sessions,” fans have been treated to an up-and-coming talent like no other.
The season 10 (2016) The Voice contestant will be in Montreal performing live during his first tour in Canada. The Sunray Sessions Tour supports his latest release and just to be sure, you should come check out his show when his tour hits Montreal next week.
I recently had a chance to interview Evan about his music career.
Favorite memory from The Voice?
My favorite memory of being on the voice was meeting and connecting with the other talented artists and musicians.
What musicians are your inspiration?
The musicians and artists that inspire me most are Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Richie Havens, Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Lenny Kravitz.
What music is on your most recent playlist?
On my playlist right now is the ‘Strut’ album by Lenny Kravitz and some classic Prince.
What can people expect when they see you on tour?
People can expect to see a great well produced show with high energy and solid musicianship. We are taking it to the next level and that is going to reflect in our live show in Montreal.
