This month, we proudly feature international model and actress Anna Easteden. You’ve seen her modeling for companies like Hermes, Calvin Klein, Sony, Salvatore Ferragamo, XOXO, Diesel, T-Mobile, Jockey and so many others! She’s been in musicals, movies and TV shows like Two and a Half Men, Bones, Days Of Our Lives, and others. Check her out!
Tell us about young Anna’s life!
I was born on a farm in the middle of nowhere in Finland. I grew up as a country girl. By the time I was a teenager, I was traveling a lot throughout the globe as a model.
Where’s home, now?
Right now home is in Los Angeles, and home probably will be here for a while.
How did you get into modeling?
I always wanted to be a model. My Barbie dolls were having fashion shows everyday when I was a little kid. I went to a modeling school when I was 12 and signed with an agency right after that.
How did you get into acting?
Acting came along with modeling. As a model I was doing TV commercials and music videos and it was a natural progression. When I got more serious about acting I went to acting classes and did theater as well.
What has been the most influential gig?
My most influential time as a model was definitely in Tokyo, Japan. I worked a ton there and had such a good time. I loved it! In general, I love traveling so whatever jobs took me to new places, were my favorite. As far as influential jobs – in general I think it’s the latest bigger job that is always the most influential in giving a boost forward.
List some of the highlights of your career up to now.
Some influential things for me have been: Bones, Two and a Half Men, Wipeout, The House of Branching Love, and being nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Award at the Method Fest Film Festival.
What type of acting role would you like to take on that you haven’t already?
I love being other people, so anyone who is not like me is a treat! I love playing people who are opposites of me in different ways. One person who I don’t think I have ever played is a druggie or an alcoholic, so I’d love to play someone like that soon. I personally don’t drink any alcohol or do any drugs.
You seem to take on a lot violent acting roles! What’s the deal with that?!
Yes! Exactly my point – that I love to be people who I am not. In real life I never get violent and am super easy to get a long with. I hate fights. 🙂
How long can you stay away from your cell phone without going crazy?
Well, I was shooting Wipeout in Buenos Aires, Argentina earlier this year for a month and my phone didn’t work there – so I was phoneless for a whole month. It was really liberating actually. I did do skype here and there on my computer – but that was it!
Are you more of a guy’s girl or a girl’s girl?
I’d like to be every person’s girl – but if I have to pick: a guy’s girl then. I am not a shopper at all, in fact I hate shopping – so some girls might find me weird that way.
Give us a fun fact about you.
The future King of England, Prince George was just christened in the water from River Jordan specifically flown in for him. When I was born I was christened in the water from River Jordan too. 🙂 My grandmother had flown and gotten the water before my naming ceremony for me. So, I have that in common with little Prince George.
What’s the most common question that people ask you?
Hmm… “What language do people speak in Finland?” (Finnish).
Name at least one celebrity (dead or alive) that you would love to meet.
Marilyn Monroe comes to mind right now. I saw a good documentary about her a couple of months ago and she came across a lot smarter and even more beautiful than she stereotypically is portrayed as. It would be interesting to talk to her. I would also love to meet people who are very successful in business like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, and I’d like to get some tips for success from them.

Favorite upcoming projects?
Right now, I am starting up my own skin care company, and I’d love it if you’d check it out: www.ShopKaunis.com Kaunis is a Finnish word which means “Beautiful.” I would love to enhance beauty in everyone.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working on lots of awesome films and living the dream – hopefully. Keeping my fingers crossed.
