We’ve all been there, we have a gym crush. We admire their workout clothes, their dedication, and their body! When is a good time to cross that line? Is a cheesy pickup going to work on this hottie you’ve been eyeing? It’s worse when you are a female, we’re supposed to wait for the guy to come up and say hi. We all know it’s rude to stare so what do you do?
See how your crush acts toward the opposite sex, do they flirt with everyone? Do they have a boyfriend/girlfriend? You don’t want to get involved with someone who is emotionally unavailable or taken, just do yourself a favor and move on if they haven’t noticed you or have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Especially if its been months. Let go, before you move in. Don’t smile too much and careful not to give them the long stares.
They’ve noticed you and the approach to say something. Maybe they see you looking, or like your style or workouts. You can approach them too, ask about the style of workout they do or give a compliment about their body. Develop a friendship find out if you have anything on common besides working out. This is important, because your relationship can’t be just at the gym.
So you see them everyday, why do you need to rush into a high speed fling that may fizzle and you’ll have to switch gyms… so slow it down and figure out intentions. Being friends makes it easier if things go bad. Being friends for a few months gives you the opportunity to see how things will go with day to day life as friends.
Understanding what the other person want’s from the start is important because it’s amazing how things get complicated when one person wanted a fling etc… just ask! Don’t be afraid to fully express what you want from the start because if what you want doesn’t match, do the mature thing and express it.
Are they looking over your shoulder?
So you’ve talked and see that there is potential. Do they make you feel like you are the only one their attention is focused on or are they scanning the room for more options? You want to date someone who compliments you and your physique and makes you feel special. Someone constantly looking over your shoulder will not be good for your self esteem or fitness. It’s all about motivation!
