After having seen every episode of Smallville during several marathon sessions of Smallville DVDs, I noticed the potential for a great drinking game! So here it is: My Smallville drinking game. The basics are similar to other TV-related drinking games. Put in a DVD and get some form of alcohol (beer, your favorite liquor, or whatever) and let’s get started. Note: I recently updated the game to include the current season.
The Rules: Drink a shot every time one of the following takes place:
- Kryptonite starts to glow
- The show goes into slow motion as Clark runs faster than a bullet
- Someone is admitted to the Smallville Medical Center
- Lex or Lionel blackmails someone
- There’s a self-referential moment from Superman lore (like Clark saying he hates wearing costumes)
- There’s a non-green colored form of kryptonite featured in the episode
- Clark struggles from being too close to kryptonite
- Lex closes his laptop as someone walks into his office
- The meteor freak of the week tries to hurt or kill someone
- Clark visits the cave
- One of the Phantom Zone escapees shows up
- Clark spies on Lana with his telescope
- You see a shot of the fountain outside Lex’s mansion (drink twice of it’s night time)
- Lana talks about her dead parents
- Clark saves someone from an explosion
- Pete is in a scene for more than one minute
- Chloe hacks in to a computer thanks to help from friends on the inside
- Clark uses his x-ray vision or laser vision
- Chloe pieces together the entire mystery in less than a minute
- Clark’s high speed running makes papers fly
- Clark talks about Jor-El’s plans for him
- Jonathan lectures Clark on the importance of keeping his powers a secret
- Something “odd” is taking place in the upstairs apartment at The Talon
- Lana or Lois kicks someone’s butt
- A known superhero makes a guest appearance (The Flash, Green Arrow, Aquaman, etc)
- Glass gets shattered (as in someone getting thrown into a glass table or someone drops a glass)
- Lex pours a glass of alcohol
- Lana says “I should go”
- Lex is shown to envy the Kent family
- Clark and Chloe walk down the stairs into her office at the Daily Planet
- Someone from the cast of the new Battlestar Galactica appears (there are lots!)
- Someone’s personality changes (by way of lost memory, kryptonite, etc)
- There’s a self-referential moment about The Dukes of Hazzard (like the theme song playing on the radio. I can hear it now… “just the good ole boys…”)
- Clark argues with Green Arrow
- Someone mentions the “Red Blue Blur”
- Davis Bloome starts to turn into Doomsday but then calms down
After just a few episodes, you’ll probably be trashed. Congrats on keeping up with this list during each episode!
