College Coed Valya Romanova

College Coed Valya Romanova

The June 2013 spotlight is on Valya Romanova! She was the cutie you sat next to in college but were too intimidated to talk to! She’s got brains and beauty with goals of opening a beauty center so you can look as good as her! LOL!  Read on to find out why she thinks that faces are so important, what special item she takes to bed with her, and more in this exclusive interview!

Where are you from originally?Valya Romanova
I was born and raised in Russia.

Where’s home, now?
I came to the United States 4 years ago and it’s been my home since. I have traveled within the country a lot and I love its unparalleled beauty and uniqueness. Currently I live in Washington D.C.

What’s your family background?
My family is in Russia. It seems that all my family members are either in the medical field or in art. I think they both influenced me to develop the pragmatic logical thinking of a scientist and the creative, uninhibited soul of an artist, LOL!

Where did you go to college?
I started college in Russia and then transferred to a college in Syracuse, NY.

What did you study?
The battle between art and medicine finally was compromised for me by studying medicine and keeping painting as a hobby.

Isn’t Valya awesome?!

Were you in any clubs, sorority, active on campus life, etc.?
Studying medicine is a different entity of college life. The schedule is overwhelming. The program activities were community oriented such as the annual benefit run supporting free medical clinics and a Red Cross blood drive. We all did our best to be a part of these projects.

How did you get into modeling?
Modeling has always been one of my greatest pleasures. I always loved posing in front of the camera, ever since I was a little girl! In my early teen years I was accepted by Toge Models, a modeling school/agency in my city in Russia. When I moved to the US I started to take pictures, but my school became very demanding and I had to put modeling on hold.

Now that you’ve finished college, how does it feel?
I feel like I have a fresh, new start now and I am excited to reveal my potential in modeling to myself and to the world.

What is it about modeling that excites you?
Ah!! There are so many things! Modeling for me is a form of art, especially the print work. It is a chance to connect through the lens of the camera with a large number of people and to carry the aesthetic pleasure of the beauty of art and sensuality to those people.

What do you think is your sexiest body part?
Not only mine, but every model’s sexiest part of the body is their face. The shape of the face, the lips and the eye expression creates that “chemistry” which stays with you after you stop looking at the person or a picture. That is the first thing we see and the first thing we remember when we think of the person.

What’s your dream job?
I’d like to be a professional palm reader… ha ha! No, seriously, I obviously would like to become a super successful model and to reach the very top of the modeling business. However, this business has deadlines. I think eventually, I would like to open a total makeover beauty center where I would have a team of plastic surgeons, aestheticians, personal trainers, dieticians, stylists and counselors to help my clients to achieve their best possible physical beauty, confidence and balance.

How long can you stay away from your cell phone without going crazy?
Unfortunately, these days, not for very long. About 6 months ago, I had a cheap plastic phone from Wal-Mart, which only had the capability of calling and texting. I was fine going away for a week and leaving it behind. Now with my smartphone, which can do everything but bring me coffee in bed, I feel like my life depends on its 5 inch touchscreen, LOL!

Name anyone, alive or dead, who you would love to meet.
I would like to meet Hugh Hefner to steal his heart!

Give us a fun fact about you.
Sometimes I sleep with a teddy bear.

What’s the most common question that people ask you?
Well, I think it’s 50/50 between “are your eyelashes real?” and “where did you get those shoes?”

Do you have a philosophy of life?
I believe in a power or the good energy. I am convinced that positive thoughts, words and actions make a real difference. I believe that there is nothing stronger than love, and love of one person can make a much bigger impact than the hate of hundreds.

Best or worst pick-up line used on you?
I was sitting at a café having a cappuccino and catching up on Facebook when this guy came right to my table and said “Do you mind if I sit here” and took the chair next to me without waiting for an answer. At first, I was not sure if it even was a pick up, but then I noticed 5 empty tables around us. Remember guys, aggressive approach only works in football.

Tell us at least one thing every man should know about women.
When you ask a woman “what’s on your mind” and we answer “nothing”, it’s a lie! LOL!

Are you a big partier?
Definitely! I love dancing. When I go out it is most often to a club.

Give a shout out to your fans…
Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me. I love you all.

Favorite upcoming projects?
One of the photographers I work with is doing a Bikini calendar for 2014. All the money will be donated to support the victims of the Boston bombing.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Running my total makeover beauty center, traveling the world and modeling!
