5 Reasons the Law of Attraction Doesn’t Work For You (Part 4)

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The attractive attract the attractive. The scared congregate with the scared. The hopeful with the hopeful. And birds of a feather flock together. That all sounds reasonable doesn’t it? Maybe it sounds unfair if you’re on the unfortunate side of the equation yet still it does sound reasonable.

Then how do you get from one side to the next? The same way you went from being non-verbal to speaking, or crawling to walking. You do it with baby steps. Little by little you can move from whatever state you’re in to a preferred state as long as you don’t try to do it all at once. It’s absolutely possible to be a genius or a savant and instantly jump from unwanted to wanted, but it’s highly unlikely.

With that introduction, let us move on to reason four of why Law of Attraction isn’t working for you.

4. You’re Trying to Manifest Something Bigger Than You Believe You Can Create

It’s been said several times by critics that the Law of Attraction works only for the rich. There is some truth to that. Yet it’s not solely because the rich can just buy what they want. It’s because they believe they can.

For a multi-millionaire manifesting a Bentley isn’t nearly as big of a mental leap as it would be for someone who has bad credit and is in debt. And because of this they don’t have that same emotional tug of war that a poor person would have for the same wanted experience.

It’s as easy to manifest castle as it is a button but only if you truly believe it to be so. If the castle seems like a bigger manifestation than the button then it’ll be harder to create it than the button. So if attracting a Bentley doesn’t seem as easy as attracting, say, an ice cream cone then you aren’t anywhere near the vibrational vicinity of getting that Bentley – no matter how many collages you do.

Here’s a neat trick for figuring out how quickly you are likely to attract a given experience:

  • Pick a desired manifestation. Let’s say you want to manifest $50,000.
  • Now ask yourself honestly: “With my current beliefs, do I believe I can attract this in 10 years?”
  • If the answer is yes then ask the question again with a lower number of years. “Do I believe I can attract this in 5 years?”
  • If the answer is yes ask yourself the question again with an even lower number. Keep doing this until you feel just the slightest twinge of doubt.
  • Whatever answer you gave yourself on the time before you felt the twinge will be the length of time it’ll take to manifest what you want.

Now that you know how long it’ll take you can take the next step and ask yourself: “Why don’t I believe it can happen sooner?” And if you ask that question honestly you’ll feel the answer.

Perhaps you don’t think you have the necessary skills to earn that money faster? Then start looking for evidence of people who have made that kind of money faster with the skills you have.

Do whatever you need to do to change your beliefs. And when you change your beliefs you change your thoughts. And when you change your thoughts you change your emotions. Then the universe has no choice but to respond differently to you.
