Getting paid to party may sound like a fantasy made for the silver screen but the truth is, there are a lot of jobs out there that involve a fair share of partying both on and off the clock. Whether in the hospitality, entertainment, journalism, modeling, or other another field, you can get paid to party all over the world!
Bartenders: While the average bartending gig is nothing but another day of work, those who manage to land exclusive spots at VIP clubs or high-end resorts live a party animal’s dream! Landing a stellar job requires more than just drink-mixing skills, as top-notch employers seek out good-looking, charming alcohol alchemists that can mix fancy drinks and smile at the same time.
Hotel Staff: Working at the local Howard Johnson’s is a drag, but multi-lingual socialites with either a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or, at the very least, several years’ experience, are able to land top spots at all-inclusive resorts all over the world. Nothing beats employment in exotic lands with exotic drinks and exotic beaches. You’ll work hard to please guests but you’ll also be able to meet lots of hot travellers and party with them!
Cruiseship Entertainers: Cruise companies know they need to keep you active to make sure your nightlife is as great as your day trips. Cruise ship entertainment can range from dancers, singers, and comedians on stage and walking around the ship to actual staff that are hired to keep people happy. They’re envied by the ship’s crew that has to stay below decks and they can mingle all they want at all hours while seeing the world!
Product Promoters: Touting anything from brew and liquor to energy drinks and merchandise, promoters hit the hottest nightspots around the world trying to sell their company’s product to partiers. The trick to getting people’s attention is to party right alongside them, handing out free goods while flirting, drinking and getting paid.
Nightclub Promoters: Although this is often viewed as being quite sketchy, promoting a nightclub, especially among the university crowd can be a lot of fun, lucrative, and get you in with the ladies (even if you’re ugly). This is one of the most powerfully artificial authority party jobs you can possibly have… and it’s a blast!
Wedding/Event Photographer: Sure, most gigs for professional photographers turn out to be the average night of snapping pictures, but some can manifest into nightlong adventures as weddings and other events get off the hook. When the alcohol starts flowing, photographers are often invited to join the party.
Exotic dancers: It doesn’t matter if they’re male or female, when the stripper comes calling things heat up fast. Bachelorette or stag parties, birthday bashes or everyday shindigs, those willing to take their clothes off for money are always offered booze, cash and party favors.
Disc Jockeys: Be they permanent bar icons or independent disc spinners, DJs, without a doubt, can, if they get the right gigs, live the endless party. The best jobs, however, require genuine DJs, with real spinning talent.
Nightclub Reviewer: Some stay locally focused while others hit the big time, traveling the world in search of Earth’s hottest nightlife. Party all night, mingle, drink and write. Well-known critics often get red carpet treatment at the most prestigious clubs.
Beer/Wine Taster: Not just anybody has the pallet nor the writing skills to taste test and write about fine micro-brews or handcrafted wine. Typing up expert, yet intelligible reviews is no easy task, but drinking is a blast. Once a critic builds a name through knowledge and taste buds, there’s no limit to the fun.
Hotel Evaluator: No, not the guy in the dorky glasses who audits hotels for safety or cleanliness, but those who travel to all-inclusive, five star resorts to indulge on fine foods, colorful cocktails and serene days relaxing poolside. This exclusive job requires nothing but lounging and reviewing.
Dance partners: Many senior-oriented cruise lines hire offer free cruises to men and women who are willing to partner up and dance the night away with strangers.
Flirts: Some of the hottest nightclubs in the world hire sexy men and women to walk the crowd, flirt, converse and inspire drinking. Women, especially, get paid to entice men into buying drinks.
Party Minglers: This is also true of many model/spokesmodel agencies. If there’s a big event in town, many will hire hot women to mingle with the crowd to enhance the atmosphere. There’s no solicitation, just a bunch of extra hot women walking around. Contact a local agency and you’d be amazed at what you can find in this regard.
Go-go dancers: Unlike the scantily clad go-go dancers giving everybody a show from a cage or stage, some clubs employ people to bust a move right on the dance floor to add to a club’s atmosphere while inspiring others to dance.
