Walking into Kooza, I had no idea what to expect. I had attended two Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, with enormous venues and elaborate stages. But this show was different. It takes place in the Old Port of Montreal with a smaller, more cozy atmosphere.
Each of the shows I have seen had standout moments. Kooza, is no different. It has the requisite magical plot that loosely fits the scenes. The acts are thrilling, yes cliché but true, as artists go through a series of musical numbers while the circus performers play out their impressive moves.
The costumes are elaborate and some of the stunts will make you cringe (but in a good way!).
Should you go?
Yes! The show is reasonably priced and most tickets are good ones since the tent is so small. Cirque du Soleil Kooza takes place until August 14, 2022 (in Montreal) and August 25 – September 25 (in Gatineau).
