The countdown has already begun for Montreal Comiccon 2019, taking place July 5-7 at Palais des congres. Organizers have announced initial billings which look to be shaping up as millennial TV extravaganza reuniting the casts of Smallville and Power Rangers.
The Cast of Smallville to Reunite!
Superman himself (aka The Blur to fans of Smallville) Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) will be coming together to meet fans and answer questions about the show.
The 100 Going Strong
At Montreal Comiccon 2016, we did a fantastic interview with Bob Morley who plays Bellamy on The 100. This time around, we get actress Eliza Taylor, the headstrong Clarke Griffin. Will she spill the beans on the next season of The 100?
George St-Pierre Lands a Different Kind of Superman Punch
Having a little something for everyone, Quebec native and UFC champion, Georges St-Pierre will be attending for the first time this year. Known for his athletic MMA career, Pierre has made his way into action comic book movies such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and this summer will get to engage with some of the 60,000 fans who will make their pilgrimage to Comiccon.
Captain to Captain
Sci-fi fans will be pleased that captains from multiple Star Trek series will be in attendance. The incomparable William Shatner from Star Trek (original series) and Ethan Peck from Star Trek: Discovery, the franchise’s newest installment, will have a chance to debate the impact of the prime directive with fans new and old.
Comic Book Legend Jim Shooter
It’s almost a disservice to try to summarize the impact that Jim Shooter has had on the comic book world. He has been everything from editor-in-chief at Marvel Comics to the founder of Valiant Comics and it’s many characters, followed by Defiant Comics, and Broadway Comics. He was also the key figure behind the original Secret Wars story which eventually lead to Spider-man’s new costume and Venom!
Something for Everyone
The event will be three packed days of concerts, workshops, panels and vendors. Features include a dedicated Family Zone, the ever-popular Indie Game Zone as well as more the 200 activities for all in attendance.
