Calling all Montreal cat lovers! If you love cats and being active, your attendance is needed at Kittyween to save Chatopia, a Montreal cat rescue that relies on donations and may close without your help!
What’s the deal?
Chatopia has partnered with Montreal’s only morning dance and yoga party, Morning Gloryville (MGV). For this one time, proceeds from ticket sales and any other donations you’d like to charitably offer will go toward helping the cats get adopted by a loving home.
Morning Gloryville is an international phenomenon where people bypass their boring weekday morning routine (including a visit to the gym) in favour of coming to an alcohol-free dance party. Along the way, you can engage in yoga and acroyoga, get a free massage, socialize with like-minded people, and have a great time!
The event is called Kittyween since it’s about cats and we’re close to Halloween! People often dress up at these events just for fun but you don’t have to.
I’ve danced at all five Morning Gloryville events in Montreal and loved each of them. After dancing in the morning, you tend to feel energized and pumped for the rest of your day.
If you’ve never been to one, you’re in for a surprise! Just come for an hour to try it out and see if it’s for you.
Where do I need to go?
The party takes place at an event hall called Salon 1861 in Griffintown. Details are below.
Where does the money go?
Thanks to generous individuals like yourself, the financial donations will be going to Montreal cat rescue Chatopia (formerly known as Animal Adoption Montreal). Chatopia rescues cats from bad homes and puts them into loving, caring homes. The kittens and cats are seen by a veterinarian and cared for until someone adopts them. Along the way, they improve their physical and mental health so they can be adopted. All of that care costs money!
So if you can’t make it, please buy a ticket anyways, as a donation!
What to Expect
Expect to have a great time! You’ve never been to a morning party quite like Morning Gloryville. In fact, you’ve probably never even been to a morning dance party! Well, we’ve posted some great videos of previous events here:
